Mrs Ramshukhi was born and brought up in village Relwain Harda district married in 2014 after 10th pass to Kedar sigh in Ramgrh. He finished his BA studies. After his BA he did D. Ed studies thinking of a government job in school. But could not get any job. He was little depressed but did not lose heart. He started to go for daily wage. He used to get Rs. 200 per day and that is also not regular. He could not meet both ends of the family with that money. He has three children. He was worried about the education of his children. Now both Ramshukhi and Kedar Singh used to go for daily wage. They get Rs. 350 for the family.

He had to manage the joint family with his parents, brothers & one sister, being the eldest in the family. He was looking for some assistance from some people of good will. It is at that time CEROWC enter the village Ramgrah. Mrs. Ram Shukhi joined the self-help group. In the beginning they used to deposit Rs 50 per head, later shifted to deposit Rs.100.

Then CEROWC Entertainer Mr. Ramchander explained to them about the income generation activities of the project. She opted for a photocopy machine. Her husband asked her “what will you do with a photo copy machine.” She told her husband we will have a small beginning. He opposed later he agreed. But for the local contribution she was struggling hard. She took some loan from her neighbours, some money from her parents and some assistance from her father-in-law. Thus, Kedar Singh and Ramshuki approached Entertainer and submitted the local contribution. She was given the photocopy machine.

With great joy and gratitude, she started the work, charged Rs. 2 was per copy. Thus, the people of the village come to know about the growth of the family. She said to my bad luck corona diseases started in Bhopal & Sehore district and school were closed. Everything comes to a standstill.

Then they added a grocery shop together with it she added Hosiery items like bangles, chains, ear rings etc. with the little money she collected for a year. During the corona period she sold grocery items and hosiery items as the nearby town was closed. She earned Rs. 2000/- per day from all.

Then she joined the tailoring centre which was run by one of the SHG member. She learned it well and very fast. She was a woman of great creativity. So, she picked up everything well.

Meanwhile the panchayat selected Ramsakhi as Bank Sakhi and trained her for one month. Her duty was to help the women to open the saving account, deposit their money, withdraw it etc. In the bank. She gets a salary Rs. 3000/- from NRLM and commission Rs 3000/- to 18000 per month. Later she was selected as the “Krishi Sakhi”. Here her duty is to educate the people in agriculture and help to get the government agriculture schemes. She took training in that too.

All this added to her family income. Then she purchased a tailoring machine and started stitching. She gets the orders from the village and earn Rs. 2000 per month. Thus, altogether the family earns around Rs. 10000/ per month. She educates her children in the private school. Other than this when the father divided their land Mr. Kedar Singh got 83 cent land and she make vegetable & kitchen garden in it and earn more than Rs. 5000/- from it too. The little help of a photo copy machine from KKS helped her to prosper in life.
