About Organization

Cyriac Elias Rural Organization for Women and Children (CEROWC) is a voluntary organization incorporated in accordance with the Societies Registration Act, vide Reg.No.25806/1993 (FCRA, 12A & 80G of Income Tax) initiated and animated by the Congregation of Mother of Carmel (CMC), Bhopal Province, to promote the development of the rural families, especially the women and children through various schemes and activities.

CEROWC commenced its activities in 1991 from its registered office situated at Deepdi, Misrod, Bhopal and attained the legal status in 1993. CEROWC has a new unit at village Chottakheda, Kolar Road, Bhopal for extended outreach and coverage.

Our Mission

  •  Human resource development by improving the general standard of education, health awareness and promotion of organizational activities.
  •   Economic development of the villages through various income generating schemes.
  •  Infra structural development in collaboration with the villagers.

Strategies

Capacity building of staff of CEROWC. Capacity building of CBO members, leaders of SHGs ,Federations, Village Development Committees,Farmers clubs Advocacy for awareness on basic human rights: to food, to cloth, to shelter, to health and to education. Networking with Governments and NGOs. Covering 100% beneficiaries in the target area through formation of Community Based Organization.

  •  To promote functional literacy of the target group.
  •  To enable community to deliberate on social issues and initiate social action against the exploitative structures of the society.
  •  To develop micro enterprise development for the rural families.
  •  To establish credit linkage of community groups with formal lending institutions.
  •  To impart skill for livelihood activities.
  •  To increase agriculture produce of the small farmers by land improvement measures/input.
